The Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan organized a Spring Market Festival at Milli Park on the weekend of April 20th and 21st, 2024. This community-oriented event provided a unique opportunity for local artisans and crafters to connect with the public and sell their handmade goods, offering them a platform to showcase their talents while generating income.
The festival was bustling with activity, featuring live music, zumba and traditional folkloric performances that entertained visitors throughout the weekend. It was the first time that members from all levels of the Rotary community—earlyact, rotaract, and rotarian—collaborated on a project of this scale, bringing a sense of unity and shared purpose to the event.
The earlyact group, comprising young students, played a significant role in the festival. They sold products they had crafted at school, using this opportunity to raise funds for their school’s needs. This collaborative effort highlighted the Rotary Club’s commitment to fostering teamwork across different age groups while supporting local education and creativity.
As club, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to CM Imren Gurbasar and PP Ayten Benoit for all their outstanding efforts in organizing the Spring Market Festival. Their dedication and hard work were pivotal in ensuring the success of the event, which brought together local artisans, musicians, and community members for a vibrant and engaging weekend.
Without the leadership and coordination provided by CM Imren Gurbasar and PP Ayten Benoit, this festival wouldn’t have been possible. Their commitment to fostering community spirit and supporting local talent truly made a difference.
Overall, the Spring Market Festival was a vibrant celebration of local culture and community spirit, providing entertainment and enjoyment while supporting meaningful causes.
