Rotary Amman Petra completed the rehabilitation of the drinking water system at Al Mansheya Compulsory School

On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the Rotary Amman Petra completed the rehabilitation of the drinking water system at Al Mansheya Compulsory School for Boys and Girls (Double Shifts) as part of its ongoing Water and Sanitation Project in UNRWA schools.

This school project is partially funded by the Rotary Foundation as part of the District Grant aiming to support 11 projects in two countries. With this project, the school was provided with new water tanks, and pipes leading to effective taps, and rehabilitating water drinking fountains used by students.

Al Mansheya school is one of 22 UNRWA schools our club targeted; delivered and installed new water tanks and rehabilitated the drinking water piping, taps, and fountains. Maintenance of the bathrooms and their doors was also provided.

For over a year, our Projects Committee worked hard to implement the project and coordinated with the UNRWA management and technical teams to ensure the best implementation and outcomes.

Having Water, Sanitation, and hygiene as one of the main areas of focus of ROTARY, the club will continue working to rehabilitate the water system for other schools
